A day in Tel Aviv+ visiting Vegan Chef Restaurant 416

I had such a fun Thursday in Tel Aviv with my lovely friend Revital. This is probably the greatest vegan capital if you ask me. I absolutely love Tel-Aviv. It’s one of those places that will accept you no matter who you are or what you wear, and it is filled with so many good people, vegan food (more about 416 restaurant in this post!) and things to do.

We started our day in one of the most iconic places in Tel Aviv which is “Azrieli Center”.  Those 3 skyscrapers host mainly offices, but there is a mall in one of them which is very busy at all times. We sat in one of the coffee places and had soy cappuccino and a nice chat.

After finishing the coffee, we walked to one of my favorite spots in TLV, which is Sarona, to hang out and take some OOTD pictures. It is such a stunning place that is filled with skyscrapers, trees, restaurants and boutiques of all kinds. My favorite thing to do there is to sit& and enjoy the nice breeze this city has to offer.

What I’m wearing

I was wearing my new pair of shoes by BY BLANCH– a vegan, ethical, family-owned French brand that I’ve known for a long while now. The owner and founder of this brand, Mireia, is so sweet and wanted to send me one of their pairs to try out- I chose this pair as I had my eye on it for a long while and I absolutely love it- it is so chic and comfortable, stylish and classy- just what I like! I love red shoes and feel like they can easily elevate every single look. To complete the French vibe my outfit is color-coordinated to the French flag- tricolor vibes! This top is very old from Zara as well as an old pair of jeans by the Israeli brand Sexso (they are made in Israel). You can find a similar top here and a similar pair of jeans here.

416 Tel Aviv

416 (FOUR ONE SIX TEL AVIV) was opened last year and it is one of the most popular vegan places in Tel Aviv. I’ve always wanted to go there and try it out, as I have heard so many good things about it. 416 is a chef restaurant (and a bar) and it is located in central Tel Aviv, easily accessible and super fun. It is a bit pricey, as it is a chef restaurant, but oh boy, was it worth it…

The atmosphere in this place is just fabulous- the owners are coming from New York, and they designed the restaurant to fit the NY vibe- urban jungle with lots of plants and a wall that says “spread love”. Since I have not been to NY (yet!) I felt like it reminded me more of Berlin, that I love and miss so much!

The food

We ordered a “chicken” skewer which is made out of seitan and served with tomatoes and tahini. I am certainly not a seitan girl lover, but oh my goodness, did I enjoy this dish… It tasted exactly like meat and the texture of it was crazy. If you used to love meat or you have meat-lover friends you should definitely try this dish out. They made it perfectly and I cannot say even one bad word about it.

The second dish we ordered was the Bana Mi- oyster mushrooms schnitzel with sriracha aioli, kimchi & avocado in a french baguette (french shoes, french food. I have a thing with French stuff) and a small salad aside. For me- nothing can go wrong when it comes in a warm, delicious french baguette- MAMA MIA!!! the schnitzel was crunchy and lightweight, and if you’re a mushroom lover, you’d definitely enjoy this one.

 Chocolate heaven

For the dessert, my only request was “something with chocolate”, duh (you know my obsession with chocolate, don’t you?). The helpful waitress recommended us to try the Chocolate Mousse with nougat, halva, cocoa nibs, and hazelnuts. This dessert was just pure perfection and happiness in a plate. It was so yummy and creamy, the cocoa nibs and hazelnuts added some crunch, and we both enjoyed every single bite (especially me tbh! haha, sorry Revital!)

I’d definitely re-visit this place in the future and highly recommend you to try it out. Although it’s a tad pricey the overall experience is truly worth it- you wouldn’t find anything similar anywhere!

I will create more Tel Aviv content for you all very soon, so you should stick around 🙂

Hope you enjoyed reading this post- are you planning on visiting TLV anytime soon? let me know in the comments

See you very soon!
