The fashion industry’s alluring image often hides a troubling truth – a lack of transparency in its supply chain that perpetuates social injustices, animal cruelty, and environmental degradation. This lack of transparency extends to the surprising revelation that almost half of the top 250 fashion brands provide scant information about traceability. They scored a mere 0-1% in the Traceability section of Fashion Revolution’s Transparency Index. Meanwhile, the average consumer remains unaware of the environmental and social impact of their clothing.
Unfortunately, progress on transparency in the global fashion industry remains slow among the 250 largest fashion brands and retailers, with their performance varying greatly. This year’s Fashion Transparncy Index reveals a lack of transparency in several crucial areas. For the first time, more than half (52%) of major fashion brands disclosed their first tier supplier lists. The overall average score in the Traceability section, however, is 23% with nearly half (45%) of brands telling us little to nothing, scoring just 0-1% overall in this section.
The lack of transparency in the fashion industry allows these issues to persist unchecked, making it challenging for conscious consumers to support ethical alternatives.
Introducing The Fision
The Fision is a pioneering apparel brand that takes a bold stand against the dark side of the fashion industry. They are committed to transforming the way clothes are made and consumed, with a vision (fision!) to create a sustainable and ethical future. By reimagining the value chain and embracing radical transparency, The Fision sets an inspiring example for the fashion industry.
Good Earth Cotton®: The Fision’s Climate-Positive Choice
At the heart of The Fision‘s commitment to sustainability is its use of Good Earth Cotton®. This revolutionary fiber is grown using regenerative agricultural practices, which means it sequesters more carbon dioxide than it emits, making it a climate-positive choice. Good Earth Cotton® cultivation also requires significantly less water compared to conventional cotton farming, helping to preserve precious water resources. By opting for Good Earth Cotton®, The Fision not only reduces its environmental impact but also supports farming practices that prioritize soil health and biodiversity conservation.
As Transparent as It Gets: The Fision x FiberTrace® Verified
To complement its dedication to transparency, The Fision employs FiberTrace® Verified, an innovative technology that ensures 100% traceability of its products. Through FiberTrace® Verified, an invisible DNA marker is embedded directly into the raw fiber at the ginning stage, the first step after the farm.. This unique identifier allows customers to trace their purchase back to the origin of the cotton, providing real-time information about the farming practices and manufacturing processes involved. With FiberTrace® Verified, consumers can confidently make informed choices, supporting brands that prioritize sustainability and ethics.
From Seed to Garment: The Fision’s Scannable Transparency
The Fision takes transparency to the next level by implementing an innovative feature on each of its t-shirts. It embeds a QR code in the front of every garment, providing a direct link to FiberTrace® Verified. By scanning the QR code, customers unlock the authentic Good Earth Cotton origin, meticulously verified and recorded in an immutable blockchain database.
This unique approach further empowers conscious consumers to make informed choices and support The Fision’s commitment to sustainable and ethical practices. By embracing such technology, The Fision sets an inspiring example for the fashion industry, making radical transparency an integral part of its mission to create a more responsible and sustainable future.
T-Shirts With Purpose: The Fision’s T-shirts
The Mia Crew Neck T-Shirt
The Mia Crew neck T-Shirt is as an easy go-to choice: made from a blend of 80% climate-positive Good Earth Cotton and 20% recycled cotton, the fabric is super soft and breathable. The classic cut offered a chic, comfortable and relaxed fit, making it a versatile addition to my wardrobe. Knowing that each Mia T-Shirt is knitted, finished, cut, sewn, and dyed in Los Angeles gave me a sense of joy in supporting local and ethical manufacturing practices. This is my personal favorite t-shirt from The Fision: I love the cut and fit of it, and it is the perfect size: not tight or too oversized, just perfect!

The Alex T-Shirt truly spoke to my heart with its bold statement – “Fashion Is A Social Movement.” Beyond its powerful message, the white t-shirt was incredibly comfortable and well-crafted. Like the Mia T-Shirt, it was made from 80% Good Earth Cotton and 20% recycled cotton, showcasing The Fision’s dedication to sustainability. The unisex fit allowed for a relaxed and laid-back style, and I loved how it paired effortlessly with various outfits, especially with jeans or a pair of vegan leather trousers.
