Warm summer days make me want to travel far away to a tropical land, filled with pineapples and coconuts, so Thailand has always seemed like a good idea. But since my Thailand dream is yet to come true, I thought maybe I could bring a piece of Thailand to me in the form of rays of optimistic sunshine and positive vibes. I suspect my friends at HEXA are psychic, because a few weeks ago, they read my mind and surprised me with a new pair of yellow shoes, which captures Thailand beautifully.

HEXA is a Thailand-based brand specializing in the making of comfortable stylish shoes. Apart from being fully vegan, HEXA is also ethical and sustainable: all their shoes are ethically produced in Thailand, making the brand even more sustainable as their carbon footprint is lowered by using products made only within Asia.
Not only this brand is fair to their workers, but also to our beautiful planet with eco-friendly manufacturing processes: their suppliers minimize the usage of water during production, commit to return safe water to the environment, and reduce waste & water with a process called a “closed-loop system”.
To make their shoes, the HEXA team uses light-weight, breathable, eco-friendly, recycled components: the sport foam is made using castor oil with recycled foam and their signature golden bottoms and rubber forepart are all recycled.
The brand’s current packaging is completely recyclable and zero-waste: with every order, you’ll get shoe-shaped holders that will keep your shoes in shape for a longer period of time, a dust bag to keep your shoes safe and a reusable shopping bag that will encourage you to live more consciously. For Spring/Summer 2019, they have updated their box by using a completely reusable, storable, collapsible box made from fabric. You’ll never want to throw away this box!
The brand’s recent launch is “Lillybug”: a fashionable, comfortable and luxurious pair of mules with a stunning gold-studded, vegan leather instep strap, and adjustable buckle; all of this isn’t just a chic touch, it also gives an adjustable fit to your feet.
This style comes in many different colors (all amazing!) which made it difficult to choose, but I decided to go for the outstanding yellow pair.
The happiness, joy, freshness, and positivity that yellow represents has always attracted me. Yet, most of the time, it doesn’t really suit me. That’s why incorporating colors is easily done in the form of shoes, and I’m so glad I can finally enjoy a pop of vibrant yellow 🙂

It’s not my first pair of HEXA shoes: I have another pair of beautiful shooties (shoe + bootie 😉 ) that I got from them a few months ago and I’ve been wearing so much. Their unique designs and comfort always make it easy to choose which pair to wear for long days, as the quality of their shoes is felt in every step. I’ve been wearing my Lillybug shoes almost every day since I got them. They work easily with my summer wardrobe and look great with lighter colors.
For my outfit today, I chose an oldie but goodie white skater dress that has been serving me for years and years; it’s super simple, but pairing it with the beautiful Lillybug made the outfit a thousand times more interesting! Such an instant and easy way to dress up your casual looks, just throw on some colorful shoes and off you go. To complete the look, I added two delicate necklaces to match with the gold details on the shoes.
The thing I love the most about the Lillybug style is the fact that you can basically wear them to every occasion: pair them with jeans and t-shirt for an easy, casual look; wear them when going to the beach with a nice midi dress; dress them up for work; or hit the dance floor at a nice daytime wedding! The luxurious, sleek design of the shoes make them a classic all-around mule that you will enjoy for sure.
