I remember the first days of becoming a vegan: I was looking for ways to figure out if a cruelty-free product is also vegan, and found myself sitting in my bathroom, reading through the endless lists of ingredients of products I was using on a daily basis. Confused by the meaning behind the chemic names, I was looking them up, and the results left me in shock: so many toxins inside products that are supposed to “nourish” my skin? I decided to dive into further research and found out that the products I was using were so far from helping my skin…

According to the EWG, the average woman uses 12 products containing 168 unique ingredients every day, which can easily be absorbed into our bloodstream. However, tens of thousands of those toxic chemicals are still commonly used, and some of them are linked to many health issues skin, some of the are irritations, rashes, hormone interruption, pregnancy complications, and cancer.

Not only those chemicals are harming us, but they are also damaging our earth, ecosystems animals, and basically everyone. Once those products are washed down our sinks and shower, they are entering our water systems and ending up in oceans, rivers and other waterways and being absorbed by wildlife. Those chemicals can cause health issues to wildlife, such as cancer, birth defects, and even death.

After finding out all this information, I switched to using 100% cruelty-free, vegan and non-toxic cosmetics, and have been sticking to them ever since. A few months ago, a new brand called NOOMI Stockholm reached out to me as they wanted me to try their first-ever product, and after reviewing their ethos and ingredients, I agreed.

My Experience with NOOMI’s BirchTech Hybrid Cream Serum

I believe that to review a skincare product, you need to take time and truly see how it works for your skin. I have been using the BirchTech Hybrid serum for more than two months now and have been truly enjoying it. It has great, natural aroma, and its texture is just perfect and easily absorbed into the skin. The fact that it is a serum and cream in one made my nighttime routine a bit easier.

The big surprise to me with this product was the fact that radiance results started appearing from the first use. While it took 4-5 uses for me to spot the bigger differences, I could notice the improvement in my skin’s radiance from the first use. I woke up and my skin was looking and feeling fresher.

After a few more uses, the little bumps on my forehead, which I’ve always suffered from, started decreasing. I still have a few of them, but they are less visible, which to me is a huge thing. I also noticed that I get fewer zits overtime using this product.

In the past year, I’ve been suffering from spots under my chin (you know, in that time of the month). With this product, they just didn’t come anymore, which to me was just a blessing. After a few weeks, I could see that the little scars and marks I had from past-spots stated fading dramatically.

Results Using the BirchTech Hybrid

Did this product give me a perfect flawless skin? no. No product in the world can do that. I still have some spots and slight marks left on my face, but this product did make a difference in my skin that for sure made it look and feel healthier, radiant and balanced. I’ve always had relatively fine skin, without dramatic issues. But this product made it even better, which I appreciate.

I couldn’t test the product’s anti-aging and wrinkle promises, as I (still) don’t have any of them. Looking at the ingredient list and considering the differences I’ve experienced, I assume it would have a good impact.

Although the price of the product is on the higher side, to me, it is totally worth it. I’d rather pay this price and using a product that works than to go for a facial. It simply made me feel better about my skin, and that’s what matters.
