Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks review + updated vegan list for 2018

I’ve been thinking about purchasing a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick for a long time. Something about this brand seemed so amazing to me. Not only this brand is cruelty-free and have vegan options, it also has a wonderful message. On their Youtube channel, there’s an image at the end of each video, that says that the model is beautiful- with or without makeup.

The fact that a woman runs this business is such a huge plus- you know I’m a packaging enthusiastic kinda-person, and when I look at Charlotte’s products my heart just melts. I’m so into the vintage-vibe of her line and the beautiful color of it- a lovely rose gold that makes everything feel and look amazing. She knows how to conquer a woman’s heart. And that’s why I could not resist buying two lipsticks from two different ranges that she has. Want to know what I think of them? Just keep reading 🙂

Charlotte Tilbury products are designed to enhance our natural beauty, which I love and appreciate. As you probably know, I’m really into natural makeup / “No makeup makeup look”. I don’t NEED makeup, I just love and enjoy it whenever I want to. I’m don’t own foundation, or really “crazy” eyeshadows- I just love it to look natural and minimal. There is one thing I love to change a lot is my lipstick, and I own SO many of them- and if I had to choose one makeup item- I would probably have chosen a lipstick. I love a bold red lip and sometimes even a browny-nude shade, but my favorite lip color is pinky-nude. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the perfect pinky-nude shade for my skin tone, Until now.

When seeing Charlotte’s lipsticks and the pictures of models with different skin tones- It was easier to choose the shades I wanted. I wanted one pinky-nude lipstick (obviously), and one brick-red that isn’t too overpowering. I ended up choosing Super Cindy as my pinky-nude shade, and Bond Girl and the brick-red shade. When my order arrived I was so happy, opened the lipsticks immediately and…. well, took pictures of them for more than an hour in order to show them here in their perfect condition, haha 🙂 After taking those pictures I finally had the chance to try them, and oh my… they were PERFECT. And now’s the time to show them to you 🙂

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in Super Cindy (Matte Revolution)

This lipstick is part of the “Hot Lips” collection. Each lipstick in this collection is inspired by one known woman. Super Cindy, as you can probably guess, is the color that is inspired by the gorgeous Cindy Crawford. On her website Charlotte describes this shade as a “muted-nude matte lipstick”, but from my point of view, a pinky-peachy nude is more accurate.

This shade of this lipstick is so perfect for my skin tone and I think it would look good on any skin tone- from fair to deep-dark. it glides on like a dream, it’s matte but not super-matte, it leaves my lips moisturized- it’s just what I was looking for. If you’re looking for a long-lasting lipstick- this is not the lipstick for you. It stays on for a couple of hours but isn’t water or food proof, which I prefer. I don’t like my lipsticks to be too long-lasting, so this formula is definitely for me 🙂

 Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Bond Girl

On the website this lipstick is described as “a chic natural berry shade”- and I agree with this description. This beautiful shade is inspired by the Bond girls from Halle Berry to Barbara Bach to Olga Kurylenko. It’s is lovely for all year round- especially for the colder months, and is super flattering as well. I love the fact that you can build up the pigment with this lipstick– from a slight pigment to super, highly pigmented color, and I also love to wear it on top of my Super Cindy lipstick to create a beautiful, deeper nude shade- such a great lip-combo! They work amazingly on their own, but also together:)
