Animal-Approved: New Boots by NAE Vegan Shoes

My wishes for cold weather are coming true, and in fact, as I’m writing these words, a storm is raging outside and fallen leaves are covering the ground with their incredible colors. I find myself walking on the padded earth, between naked trees and fallen leaves, reflecting and thinking about the things I want to let go of in my life, just like the trees do during this time of year. The fallen leaves teach me that there’s so much power in releasing and letting go, and a breathtaking beauty in moving on.

NAE Vegan Shoes is a vegan, ethical and sustainable shoe brand based in Lisbon, Portugal. The brand was born under the belief of No Animal Exploitation and is aiming “to create fair and animal-friendly shoes, respecting the environment and without human exploitation”.Nae has been developing its collection while harmoniously combining design, materials, and quality.

Materials

Nae works with several vegan, eco-friendly materials such as recycled airbag ♻️, cork, biodegradable microfiber, PET (recycled plastic fabric), Piñatex , recycled tier, and 100% natural rubber for soles. Not only are those materials eco and animal-friendly- but they are also super high quality, sustainable and super comfy.

Production

All Nae products are ethically made. Their shoes are produced in small and medium factories in Portugal and are tested to guarantee resistance and comfort. Most of the materials used belong to Portuguese suppliers and most of the manufacturing process is handmade. It is definitely showing- their shoes are perfect and super high quality, and you totally get what you pay for.

The “Animal-Approved” collection

Nae’s A/W18 collection is called “Animal Approved”, and it is so gorgeous! The brand has kindly offered to send me a pair of my choice, and oh boy, was the decision hard- I liked so many designs. I ended up choosing the MARTA BORDEAUX boots, and couldn’t be happier- they are so comfortable, stylish and fun to wear. As most of my boots are black, it is very refreshing and fun to have a colorful boot for a change. This color is super easy to style and it is one of my favorites for this time of year. This pair of boots goes really well with my wardrobe, and as its heel height is perfect for everyday wear, I gravitate towards it very often. It is for sure one of the comfiest pairs of shoes I own.

Bordeaux Beauty: How I styled my Marta Boots

To go with this beautiful pair of boots, I wore an old Bordeaux dress and a huge romantic bow. To balance out the outfit, I wore my favorite bag (AKA Colibri Chocolate Vesper) and added minimal accessorize. I feel like this outfit really matches the autumnal vibe I was wishing to create.
